If you live in a house with an outside tap, protecting it from freezing by adding insulation can save a lot of money and hassle in the future. It’s important to do so before the temperature gets too low because once ice forms in your pipes, the damage is already done. Our outside tap cover takes seconds to install and was designed using two standard outside tap models (½” bib hose union taps) and they fit well on nearly all standard outside tap models.

To install the cover, there are two velcro flaps at the top and bottom. The smaller flap of Velcro is at the top of the cover and this has a small cut out for the tap handle to go through so it can still be turned on and off. The large Velcro strap is at the bottom and this is used to close the bottom of the cover. This can also be left open so you can leave the hose connected or quickly unstrapped to reattach the hose when required. This outside tap cover will insulate your tap and prevent it from freezing in sub-zero temperatures. A simple cover is inexpensive and they make it super easy to maintain your outdoor water supply. You can also leave the hose attached and use the tap without having to take the cover off making it very convenient.
